Privacy Policy

Look, we get it - nobody actually reads these things. But we're gonna keep it real with you about how we handle your info.

Effective Date: October 31, 2025

Here at Dravenths Pire Fitness, we're straight shooters. This policy breaks down how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you train with us or use our website.

We operate outta Vancouver, BC, Canada, so we follow Canadian privacy laws - specifically PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act). Yeah, it's a mouthful, but basically it means we can't mess around with your data.

The basics we need:

  • Your name, email, and phone number - can't really run a gym without knowing who you are
  • Billing info and payment details when you sign up for memberships or services
  • Your address (mainly for our records and any mail we might need to send)

Health and fitness stuff:

  • Medical history and any injuries we should know about - we're not doctors, but we need to keep you safe
  • Fitness goals and current activity levels - helps us design programs that actually work for YOU
  • Progress tracking data like weights lifted, times recorded, measurements, etc.
  • Dietary info if you're doing nutrition consultation with us

Technical stuff from the website:

  • IP addresses, browser types, device info - standard web stuff
  • Cookies and similar tech to make the site work better
  • How you navigate our site and what pages you check out

We're not in the business of selling your data or doing anything shady. Here's what we actually do with it:

  • Run the gym: Process memberships, schedule sessions, manage your account - the day-to-day stuff
  • Keep you safe: Track any health concerns or limitations so our coaches can program appropriately
  • Personalize your training: Use your goals and progress data to adjust programs and give you better results
  • Stay in touch: Send you class schedules, appointment reminders, membership updates - the stuff you actually wanna hear about
  • Handle payments: Process your membership fees and any other services you purchase
  • Improve our services: Analyze what's working and what's not so we can get better
  • Legal stuff: Keep records as required by law and protect ourselves if any disputes come up

We don't go blasting your info all over the place. But there are a few situations where we might share it:

  • Our team: Your coaches and trainers need access to your fitness data and health info to do their jobs right
  • Payment processors: Gotta use third-party services to handle credit card transactions securely
  • Email and scheduling platforms: We use tools like mailchimp or scheduling software that might store your contact info
  • Legal requirements: If the law says we gotta hand something over, we don't have a choice
  • Business transfers: If we ever sold the gym or merged with another facility, your membership info would transfer too

What we DON'T do: Sell your data to marketers, share it with random third parties, or use it for anything you didn't sign up for.

Security's important to us. We're not Fort Knox, but we take reasonable precautions:

  • Encrypted connections (SSL) when you use our website
  • Secure servers with password protection and limited access
  • Payment info is handled through PCI-compliant processors - we don't store your full credit card numbers
  • Physical files are locked up at the gym
  • Staff are trained on privacy and only access what they need for their roles

Real talk though - no system is 100% hack-proof. We do our best, but if there's ever a breach, we'll let you know ASAP.

Yeah, we use cookies. Not the chocolate chip kind unfortunately. These are small files that help our website remember you and work properly.

What we use 'em for:

  • Keep you logged in between pages
  • Remember your preferences
  • Track site analytics - like which pages people visit most
  • Make sure forms work correctly

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site might not work as smoothly. Your call.

Under Canadian privacy law, you've got some solid rights when it comes to your personal info:

  • Access: You can ask to see what data we have on you - just shoot us an email
  • Correction: If something's wrong or outdated, let us know and we'll fix it
  • Deletion: Want us to delete your info? We can do that once your membership's done and we don't legally need to keep it anymore
  • Opt-out: Don't wanna get marketing emails? Unsubscribe anytime. You'll still get important stuff like billing notices though
  • Complaints: If you think we messed up with your privacy, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@draventhspire.info or call us at (604) 782-4591.

We don't hoard your info forever. Here's the breakdown:

  • Active members: We keep your data as long as you're training with us, obviously
  • Former members: We'll hang onto basic account info for about 7 years for tax and legal purposes
  • Marketing lists: If you unsubscribe, you're off the list within a few days
  • Health info: Kept for 7 years after your last session per healthcare records standards
  • Website analytics: Usually aggregated and anonymized after a couple years

Once we don't need your data anymore, we securely delete or destroy it.

Our site might link to other websites - social media, equipment retailers, nutrition brands, whatever. Once you click away from draventhspire.info, their privacy policies take over, not ours.

We can't control what they do with your data, so check out their policies if you're concerned. We try to only link to legit sites, but we're not responsible for their practices.

Our programs are designed for adults. If you're under 18, we need parental consent before you can train with us or sign up on the website.

We don't knowingly collect personal info from minors without permission. If you're a parent and think your kid's info got submitted without consent, reach out to us and we'll delete it.

Laws change, technology changes, our business changes. So yeah, we might update this policy from time to time.

When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top and post the new version here. If it's a major change, we'll send out an email or post a notice on the site.

Keep checking back once in a while if you're curious. Or don't - we won't be offended.

Got questions about this privacy policy? Something not clear? Wanna know what data we have on you?

Hit us up:

We'll get back to you within a few business days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can always contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Bottom Line

We respect your privacy because we'd want ours respected too. We collect what we need to run a solid gym and give you great training. We protect it reasonably well. We don't sell it or do anything sketchy with it. And if you have concerns, we're here to talk.
