How We Got Started

Look, I'll be straight with you. Dravenths Pire wasn't born from some fancy business plan or corporate fitness model. It started in a cramped garage gym where I was training anyone who'd show up at 5 AM. Back in 2019, I was fed up with the cookie-cutter gyms that treated members like numbers on a spreadsheet.

I'd spent years competing in Olympic lifting and working with athletes who needed more than just a treadmill and some dumbbells. They needed real programming, actual coaching, and a community that wouldn't let 'em quit when things got tough. So yeah, we built this place from the ground up - literally demo'd the space ourselves.

What you see now on Granville Street is the result of thousands of hours of sweat equity. We've got equipment that can handle the heaviest lifts, but more importantly, we've got coaches who've been through the grind themselves. No fancy Instagram trainers here - just people who know what it takes to build real strength.

Our Journey

2019 - The Garage Days

Started with 8 dedicated athletes and a dream. Morning sessions before everyone's day jobs, no frills, just hard work.

2020 - Opening Granville

Signed the lease right before everything went sideways. Built out the entire facility during lockdowns. Crazy timing, but we made it work.

2021 - Expanding the Team

Brought on three more certified coaches who shared our philosophy. Started running proper Olympic lifting programs and sports performance training.

2023 - Competition Success

Our athletes took home medals at provincial championships. Added nutrition consultation because we realized you can't out-train a bad diet.

2025 - Still Growing

Over 200 active members now, but we're keeping that tight-knit community feel. Added recovery sessions and mobility work 'cause longevity matters.
